I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Baringo Technical College-KAPSOO. BTC is one of the public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions offering diploma and CRAFT certificate and artisan courses in technical and business skill set.
Our mandate is to provide training on skills required in the realization of the big four agenda. The specialized course offered here are facilitated through six admitting departments providing practical instruction, namely; 1.Building, Civil and Electrical Engineering, 2.Business and Development Studies,3. Hospitality and Dietetics Management, 4.Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and 5. Information Communication Technology. 6. Agriculture. The management of the institution is governed through the Board of Governors operating under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training. Currently all students in TVET institutions are given a sponsorship of 30,000 per student per year by the ministry of education. The students are also eligible for a Helb loan and bursaries. There is no excuse for not taking your child to technical institution immediately after finishing the basic education. The acquisition of skills will drive our economy thank you and God bless.

Deputy Principal
Baringo Technical College is a government flagship project set up to champion specific TVET courses together with other TVET institutions country wide .To be able to accomplish this, we have to set high standard quality service delivery and pursue them to fulfill our mandate. The main propellant of our commitment is the trust bestowed upon us by the government and other main stakeholders who have always and tirelessly supported us realize our goal.
It is therefore expected that as a TVET institution we reciprocate this gesture by intensifying creativity and innovation through quality training and in collaboration with other institutions and industry players. With God’s help we shall strive to strengthen internal quality control mechanisms and expand college infrastructure to accommodate ever increasing student population and hence play our role towards actualizing vision 2030.

Dean of Students
The Dean of Students is strongly committed to providing liaising support, advising and general counseling to all students. The dean serves as a link between the college administrators and students associations e.g. students council. The Dean is in charge of Students affairs, Kitchen, Library, House keeping, Guidance and counseling, Disciplinary committees, Heath and cleanliness, co- curricula activities among others.

Registrar
In pursuit of Kenya National Goal of Vision 2030 and the Institutions Vision ,Mission and Strategic objectives, The office of Registrar is committed to continuously ensure the courses offered remain competitive and market responsive. Registrar’s office is responsible for the supervision and management of all admissions, examinations, marketing/outreach and performance contracting. Through marketing progammes, Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), sponsored students through National Youth Service (NYS) and Equity, we enroll our students in Craft and Diploma Certificate courses offered in five departments. Intakes are in January and September for students taking modular and those taking TEP courses their intake is supposed to be in may and January. Currently the examination body is Kenya National Examination Council(KNEC) which offers examination in July and November every year
